Ancient Caucasus

Encyclopedia Caucasus Antiquus – Ancient Caucasus aims at the development of the first comprehensive encyclopedia on ancient Caucasus (the 2nd millennium BC – the 5th-6th centuries AD). It will contain articles on all Caucasus-related terms, also Georgian translations of all oriental sources about Caucasus (Hittite, Assyrian, Urartian, Persian) and Greek (from the Mycenaean period to late Antiquity) and Latin sources in the original languages as well as in Georgian. 
The project participants (leading and auxiliary personnel): Valeri Asatiani, Levan Gordeziani, Rismag Gordeziani, Ketevan Gardapkhadze, Irine Garakanidze, Irine Darchia, Tea Dularidze, Marika Erkomaishvili, Tamar Tarkhnishvili, Ketevan Nadareishvili, Zaza Khintibidze, Gia Khomeriki, Tamar Japaridze, Tamar Cheishvili. For indiviudal articles in specific areas (numismatics, epigraphics, etc.), several researchers outsider the project were invited:    Nino Abakelia, Nikoloz Aleksidze, Maia Danelia, Giorgi Dundua, Tedo Dundua, Vakhtang Licheli, Guram Lordkipanidze.
The project is supervised by Professor Rismag Gordeziani.
